2024 Scheduled Maintenance

Keeping the Refinery Safe and Reliable

Refinery restart commences Sunday, March 10, 2024

Expected Timeline and Activities:

Starting Sunday, March 10: We will begin the process by turning on the main air blower to heat the system. This is an essential step to get everything up to the right temperature. During this time, there will be periods of elevated flaring, and some potential for odours, noise and smoke.

Over the following few days, we'll be working on several processes to ensure the system is running efficiently. This includes heating additional components, adding catalyst, and adjusting temperatures as needed. During this time, there will be periods of elevated flaring, and some potential for odours, noise and smoke. These are expected and form part of our restart process.

Following this, we will move into the next phase of our operations by starting to feed crude oil into the refinery.

Community Safety and Wellbeing:

To ensure the wellbeing of our neighbours and nearby communities, we are working closely with regulatory bodies and stakeholders. Additional third-party air monitoring will be deployed to complement existing regulatory systems, with round-the-clock monitoring throughout the restart process.

We are committed to minimizing the impact on our community and have implemented additional air monitoring to ensure safety. We encourage you to contact us directly if you have any concerns or require further information.
